Eversource Energy Senior Engineer (Internal Audit) in Berlin, Connecticut
Job Description Summary:
Internal Audit is seeking an individual that will plan and perform technical engineering based audit assignments within Eversource operations and reviews as well as perform various special projects within the Eversource System that support the completion of the Annual Audit Plan and various Eversource management requests. Individaul will propose audit test objectives and create audit program steps, including root cause analysis that will allow the Audit Department to appropriately conclude on the internal control environment. It is expected that the individual will manage simultaneous activities and priorities. The position offers exposure to Eversource Senior Management. Limited overnight travel may be required.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is required. Progress towards an advanced degree or certification (MBA,PE, PMP) is desirable. A minimum of eight years of operational experience is required. A strong technical knowledge of work practices and procedures pertaining to the operation of electric and gas transmission and distribution design, facilities and equipment is desirable. Individual must have the ability to identify business process risks and exposures, evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, and recommend practical, value-added recommendations that Eversource management can implement cost effectively. Strong written and oral communications skills are needed to effectively provide clear and concise information to all levels of Company management.
